Over the two day hands-on workshop we will cover all of the preliminaries to start you on your colour journey.  Together we will discuss the mysteries about plants & the truths about their colour.

Journey of a Woven Thread takes you along the path of a weaver.  The show features original pieces, alongside Dani's current body of work where she explores geometry, colour and the crafting of optical effects in handwoven textiles.

For these pieces a seven colour gradient is used to explore value and vibrancy interlacing woven threads

New to the shadow weave collection, 'Pins & Needles'

I sequenced my threading in accordance to the triangle numbers: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21, 28.....  And in doing so forms a pattern of perfect order.

Using Pointecarré textile software I learnt how to take a photograph and translate it into a weaving file that could be read by the jacquard loom - and then woven.

Hand dyed with a natural indigo.  Woven with GOTS Certified Organic Linen/Cotton & Tussah Silk
